What data we collect
Website (huntforce.co.uk)
Through the use of cookies we collect anonymous information on users to the website including:
- IP address
- Device type
- Screen resolution
- Duration on the site
- How you were referred to the website
- Which pages on the website you visit
When signing up to an event we request the following personal information:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
Data on your website usage through analytics tools and the personal information you enter when booking an event are not linked together.
App (the Hunt Force app / game)
While playing the Hunt Force game, we collect the following personal data:
- Your location
- Your name
- Your level of fitness, measured as an arbitrary number, and provided by yourself
- The type of device the game is running on
- Information relevent to the game such as network latency, GPS signal strength, and the internal state of the game
Why we need your data
Website
We gather this data to better understand how users interact with our website, which in turn helps us to understand which information or pages are relevant or useful.
It also helps us to understand our marketing success, as in, which websites are helping users to find us, or if a marketing promotion is working well.
App
This data is used solely to improve the app and to ensure we can capture any bugs while the game is being played.
In an ideal world we would be able to follow a player around and help if a bug is encountered, but that is obviously not practical, hence why we record game play information as you play, through the app / device.
Your location information is stored in order for us to provide future features, such as game replay.
Our legal basis for processing your data
The legal basis for processing personal data in relation to the website or the app is our legitimate interests, and the legitimate interests of our users / players, in ensuring:
- We can contact you regarding your booking
- You are provided the service you have paid for, ie. the game actually works when you come to play it
The legal basis for processing anonymised data for use with website analytics is your consent.
What we do with your data
Firstly your data is not shared with anyone outside of Hunt Force Ltd.
Your anonymous data is used for the sole purpose of improving the website and app.
Your personal data is used before and during the event in case we need to contact you. After that it is only used for statistical reasons, such as looking back on how many people have attended an event.
How long we keep your data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as:
- it is needed for the purposes set out in this document
- the law requires us to
Where your data is processed and stored
All personal data is stored in the European Economic Area (EEA), specficially wherever our servers are based; currently the Netherlands and England.
How we protect your data and keep it secure
Any data transmitted to us is only ever over HTTPS using TLS 1.3.
Access to your data is only available to authorised users within Hunt Force Ltd. No external parties have access.
